ARTICLE
I. PREAMBLE
Section 1: NAME OF CONSTITUTION

The name of this organization shall be the Waymade Alumni
Association which may also be known as WAA. |
Section
2: PHILOSOPHY OF THE CONSTITUTION
|
-
The
Mission of the Constitution is
To create and provide opportunities for its members
to maintain networking and active affiliation with the
College that result in mutual benefit/s and life long
learning.
To facilitate the involvement of the Alumni in the development
of the College.
-
The Aim of the Constitution is
To impart a sense of co-operation and healthy understanding
among the teaching staff, former students, and present
students
To organize academic and re-creational programmes for
the Alumni members in order to promote the development
of its members.

Section
3: OBJECTIVES OF WAA
|
The
objectives of WAA are
-
to
inculcate a feeling of kinship, understanding, unity
and co-operation amongst its members
-
to serve, support, inform and represent the Alumni of
Waymade College of Education in matters that are of
interest to the Alumni and the College;
-
to make the alumni aware of the work and services of
the College;
-
to assist in class reunions and similar activities on
campus;
-
to
help the placement of Waymade College of Education graduates.
-
To help in establishing a professional code of conduct
for the students passing from the College.

Section
4: GENERAL PURPOSE OF WAA
|
-
The
purpose of the Waymade Alumni Association shall be to
facilitate the continuing relationship between the College
and its Alumni in order to encourage communication and
fellowship among alumni.
-
The Waymade Alumni Association shall be governed by
the Waymade Alumni Association Council in association
with the College.
-
The
Waymade Alumni Council in association with the College
shall plan and supervise activities which fulfill the
Association’s purposes (as per section 2).

Section
5: COLLEGE AND WAA
|
The
College will:
-
promote
significant alumni activities on campus;
-
provide current information about the College and its
alumni on continuous basis (i.e. year wise details of
pass out students);
-
keep
the WAA Council updated about its latest activities
and needs of the College in person and through the college
website.
-
promote
and involve its alumni in academic activities like teaching
learning process, research, workshops, publications
and recruitment processes.

ARTICLE
II. MEMBERSHIP
|
Members
of the Waymade Alumni Association shall include graduates
and post graduates of Waymade College of Education.
PATRONS:
Any person not an ordinary member, donating Rs.10,000/-
or more shall become Patron of this association.
DONORS:
Any person, not an ordinary member, shall become Donor of
this association by donating Rs.5000/- |

III. WAYMADE ALUMNI COUNCIL
|
Section 1: GOVERNANCE
|
The
WAA Council shall serve as one of the leading bodies of
the Waymade Alumni Association and shall also serve as an
advisory body to the College on matters related to academic
processes as and when needed. The moral duty of the WAA
Council and the Association is to demonstrate their leadership
role in supporting Waymade College of Education and its
fellow members in academic processes as stated in Article
III.

Section
2: MEMBERSHIP OF WAA
|
-
Any
graduate and post graduate of Waymade College of Education
shall be the member of the Waymade Alumni Association;
-
The ordinary membership fee of Rs.1000/- will have to
be paid once only to become a member.
-
The principal, faculty members and non teaching staff
at the College shall work in association with the WAA
and will be considered as the members of the Waymade
Alumni Association.

Education selected by the WAA members democratically.

WAA will select the WAA Council on yearly basis.

Section
3: WAYMADE ALUMNI ASSOCIATION COUNCIL
|
-
The Waymade Alumni Association Council will comprise
of the following members
President: Principal of the College.
-
Vice
President: An Alumnus - Students’ representative selected
by the WAA members democratically.
-
The members of WAA will select the WAA Council on
yearly basis as indicated in Article IV-Section 2
-
All the members of the Waymade Alumni Association Council
shall meet at least twice a year and communicate matters
related to the College as per Article 1 on regular basis
through e-mails, telephonic talks, etc.
-
All the members of the Waymade Alumni Association Council
shall responsibly take a leading role in order to promote
the College’s interest and academic processes as stated
in Article 1.
-
The Waymade Alumni Association Council along with the
College shall keep its members updated about the events
organized by WAA.

Section
4: EXPECTATIONS FROM WAA MEMBERS
|
-
All the WAA members are expected to support, attend and
participate in the meetings and events organized by WAA.
- The
members shall take the responsibility of the regular functioning
of WAA.
