I. Achievements:

1 Ms. Shamsha Emanuel was invited to teach a paper on "Educational Technology" to 1st semester students of M. Sc. (Home Science) at the Department of Home Science, S P University, Vallabh Vidyanagar.
2 A grand International Seminar was organized on the theme "Developing 21st Century Skills: Choices and Challenges" at Waymade College of Education, Vallabh Vidyanagar on 15th and 16th October 2010. Around 270 participants across India and abroad participated in the seminar.
3 Dr. Sulabha Natraj was invited by the British Council, New Delhi to present a case study of the processes of Continuous Professional Development at the Waymade College of Education. The two days meet on 22nd and 23rd November 2010 was a sequel to the Third Policy Dialogue on English held in New Delhi in 2009.
4 Dr. Sulabha Natraj rendered her services as a resource person at a workshop on iBLD (ICT Blended Learning Design), a Government of Gujarat initiative for school teachers, under the leadership of Prof. Marmar Mukhopadhyay. This was the first phase of the pilot project for training 600 teachers from 3 districts, namely Vadodara, Anand and Surat.
5 >Since November 2010, Dr. Sulabha Natraj is a member of the course Design and Materials production group at the Indian Institute of Teacher Education (IITE) Gandhinagar. The 4 year integrated B. Sc./B.A./B.Com. B. Ed. Programme and the 5 year integrated M. Ed. programme are in offing at the IITE.
6 > Imtiyaz Ganchi, a student of B. Ed. Advanced, won the 2nd prize for participating in a Poetry Recitation Competition held at Anand Law College, Anand on 13th December 2010.
7 >A state level Essay writing competition under Swarnim Gujarat was organized at the college on 21st December 2010. The prizes were given by Government of Gujarat to the winners. The winner from the college was Mr. Navinbhai Bhabhor (M. Ed. student, Waymade College of Education).
8 Ms. Snehal Parmar a student-teacher of B. Ed. Advanced programme secured the second position in the elocution competition organized at the Anand Education College, Anand on 12th January 2011.

II. Competitions at Waymade:

9 >Round Table Conference was held at the college with the participation of the research scholars of Waymade College of Education as well as the P G Department of Education of the University. The themes were philosophers, their philosophies and -isms; and their implications on Education..
10 >Dr. Sulabha Natraj interacted with the participants at the One day Inter University Students' seminar organized by the Anand Arts College, Anand on 20th September 2010.
11 >An Inter-college Rangoli making competition was organized at the college on 14th October 2010.
12 >As a part of Swarnim Gujarat Celebrations a state level competition on "Best Integration of Technology in the Classroom" was organized at the college on 27th December 2010.
13 >Christmas and New Year celebrations were organized, at the behest of students, at the college on 31st December 2010.
14 >Declamation Competition, Poster Making Competition, Painting Competition and Slogan Writing Competition were organized at the college on the topic "Teaching: A Profession to be Proud of" on 4th February 2011.

III. Celebrations/Exhibitions at Waymade:

4 >A guest lecture was delivered by Dr. Piyush Joshi on 'Effective Communication' to B Ed Advanced students at college on 13th September 2010.
5 >A guest lecture was delivered by Dr. Piyush Joshi on 'Post Modernism' to M Ed students at college on 15th September 2010.
6 >Mr. Bhadresh Patel and his wife Ms. Wendy interacted with the student-teachers and faculty members of the college on 3rd January 2011.
7 >A guest lecturer on "Indian Perspectives of Education" was delivered by Dr. M K Yagnik Head, the Department of Education, Sardar Patel University to the research scholars of M Ed Programme on 9th February 2011.
8 >Ms. Hema Yadav was invited for a guest lecture on "Handling Children". The lecture was organized in collaboration with JCI, Anand Chapter and the Rotary Club Round Town College on 9th February 2011.
9 A guest lecture on "Science in Practices" was delivered by Dr. Manjari Acharya, Professor Department of Home Science, was organized on 11th February 2011 for the students of Environmental Education and Science.
10 A guest lecture on "Constructing Attitude Scale" was delivered by Dr. A B Kagathla, from the Department of Education, on 12th February 2011.
11 Dr. Rema Subhash, Head of P G Department of Home Science, Sardar Patel University and the members of Women Development Cell visited our college, on 21st February 2011, to interact and discuss with the female student-teachers and research scholars about the issues related to women. They also shared information about the Women Development Cell of S P University - its objectives and activities.

5 Mr. Rakesh Ranjan, Ms. Shamsha Emanuel and Ms. Rucha Desai attended National Researchers' Meet and presented papers on 27th to 1st March 2011.
6 >Mr. Chirag Darji, Mr. Rakesh Ranjan, Dr. Bharti rathore and Ms. Sarika Chauhan presented papers at the state level seminar organized by C P Patel and F H Shah Commerce College, Anand on 13th March 2011.

VIII. Interviews and Placements:

IX. Projects/ Consultancy work Completed:

1 >The project on 'Capacity Building of Young Female Students through Development of Proficiency in English' was launched. About 45 girls from G J Sharda mandir participated at the programme funded by UGC's Women's Women's study Centre at the Sardar Patel University. Dr. Sulabha Natraj was the principal Investigator whereas Shri Chirag Darji was the coordinator for the project. Mr. Rohit Valand, Ms. Reena Chaudhary, Mr. Suresh Prajapati and Ms. Mittal Patel were the other resource persons. This was held during April and May 2010.
2 >The project on 'Capacity Building through Computer Training Programme among the School Children (mainly girls) of the Community" was launched in the month of April. Over 48 students participated at this training programme funded by UGC's Women's Studies Centre at the Sardar Patel University. Mr. Rakesh Ranjan was the Chief Investigator for the project. Mr. Keval Thaker, Mr. Amit Macwan and Mr. Bhavin Prajapati were the other resource persons. This was held during April and May 2010.

X. Workshops, Training Programmes Conducted:

1 >Dr. Sulabha Natraj conducted a training session on 'Presentation Skills' for lecturers in Pharmacy Colleges in the State of Gujarat on 15th April 2010. The two day training programme was organized by the Pharmacy College managed by Ram Krishna Seva Mandal, Anand.
2 >Dr. Sulabha Natraj conducted a training session on "Thought as Energy" for graduates appearing for competitive exams. The programme was conducted jointly by Gujarat State Biotechnology Mission, Gandhinagar & N V Patel Science College, Vallabh Vidyanagar on 7th May, 2010.
3 >Dr. Sulabha Natraj conducted a session at an orientation programme for college teachers organized by the UGC's Academic Staff College, Sardar Patel University on 5th June, 2010.
4 > A one day workshop on teaching Sanskrit was organized at the college on 21st August 2010, which was attended by 74 participants from six teacher education colleges in and around Anand. The workshop was conducted by Mr. Rohit Valand, faculty member at Waymade. The initiative was a unique one as there are hardly any workshops organized on teaching Sanskrit.
5 >Mr. Nikhil Joshi, Associate professor of GCET Engg. College conducted a workshop on "Web 2.0 Technology' at the college as a part of the International Seminar on 15th October 2010.
6 >Dr. Yogesh Bhatia, Reiki Grand master conducted a workshop on "Alternative & Natural Healing Systems" at the college as a part of the International Seminar on 15th October 2010.
7 Ms. Deepali Mahida, lecturer of M B Patel College of Education, conducted a workshop on leadership 'Be a Leader Yourself' at the college on 23rd November 2010.
8 >A one-day workshop on "Laboratory Management" was organized by Math-Science club for school teachers at the college on 28th December 2010. Around 21 school teachers participated in the workshop.
9 >Mr. Dharmesh Acharya conducted a session on Project Based Teaching through ICT for the student-teachers of B. Ed. Advanced and M. Ed. programme on 3rd February 2011.
10 A workshop on 'Overcoming Exam Anxiety' was conducted by the principal, Prof. Sulabha Natraj, on 4th March 2011 for the student-teachers of B.Ed. Advanced.

XI. Visit/ Excursions:

5 >All the faculty members along with some students attended a talk on "Trends in Higher Education" delivered by Ms. D. Purendreshwari Minister of State HRD, Government of India on 12th July 2010.
6 >A workshop on 'Teacher Educators as Leaders of ICT' was organized by Intel® and Waymade Alumni Association (WAA) at the college on 11th August 2010. The workshop was conducted by Mr. Dharmesh Acharya, national trainer Intel.
7 >On 12th August 2010, Mr. Dharmesh Acharya, national trainer Intel®, interacted with the B. Ed. and M. Ed. students of the college and gave them information about ICT in Education.
8 Ms. Shamsha Emanuel and Ms. Sarika Chauhan attended a one day workshop on "E-content Development (NME-ICT)" jointly organized by the Sardar Patel University, Vallabh Vidya Nagar and the Knowledge Consortium of Gujarat at M.P. Patel Auditorium, Department of Physics.

10 >Mr. Chirag Darji and Mr. Ashish Hiwale and some student teachers attended a programme entitled "Man Sathe Maitri" organized by the "Book Lovers Forum" at B V M Auditorium, Vallabh Vidyanagar on 26th September 2010.
11 >Dr. Bharti Rathore and Mr. Ashish Hiwale attended the 9th Asia Call conference on 'Web 2.0 and Beyond for ELT'. The event was hosted by the H M Patel Institute of English Training and Research at Vallabh Vidyanagar.
12 >Teacher Educators from Waymade College of Education attended a workshop on "Classroom Reform for Quality Education: Capacity Building of School Principals and Teachers" sponsored by GSHSEB, Gandhinagar held at H M Patel Institute of English Training and Research, Vallabh Vidyanagar on 20th to 24th December 2010.

3 Dr. Sulabha Natraj attended the governing body meeting of the Kendriya Vidyalaya on 24th April 2010.
4 Dr. Sulabha Natraj and Dr. Bharti Rathore attended the meeting of Board of Studies on implementation of Choice Based Credit System on 27th April 2010.
5 Dr. Sulabha Natraj as a member of Intel Core Committee attended a meeting organized by Intel at New Delhi on 25th and 26th May 2010.
6 > A quality enhancement programme for the primary school students in rural Gujarat (Khambat Taluka) was conducted by the college at the behest of Charutar Vidya Mandal.
7 > The launching ceremony of M. Ed. programme was held on 1st July amidst the gracious presence of the luminaries from the Charutar Vidya Mandal: Dr. C.L. Patel, the chairman Charutar Vidya Mandal presided over the function, while Prof. V.J. Trivedi, a veteran educationist in Gujarat was the chief guest at the occasion.
8 A cultural programme was jointly organized by the college and SPICMACAY, Gujarat, wherein a group of artists from Konark Natya Mandap, Orissa presented a dance performance called "Gotipua" on 14th July 2010.
9 The first FDI of Academic Year 2010 - 11 was organized on 21st July 2010. Ms. Dipali Gandhi, Mr. Ashish Hiwale and Mr. Chirag Darji presented the information regarding the NAAC criteria.
10 >Mr. Chirag Darji and Mr. Ashish Hiwale delivered presentations on "Life Skills and Quality of life" respectively in the 3rd FDI of this academic year at the college on 28th August 2010.
11 >Mr. Chirag Darji, Mr. Ashish Hiwale, Ms. Dipali Gandhi and 48 students of B. Ed. Advanced and M.Ed. Programme went on a tour to some places in Rajasthan from 30th September to 4th October.
12 >Ms. Dipali Gandhi presented the research proposal of her Ph. D. work at the Researchers' Forum organized at the college on 29th January 2011.
13 > Dr. Sulabha Natraj, Mr. Chirag Darji and 25 student-teachers of B. Ed. Programme attended the 38th Bhaikaka Lecture Series organized by Charutar Vidya Mandal at B V M auditorium, V V Nagar on 27th December 2010.
14 >Dr. Bharti Rathore attended a meeting of the Board of Studies on 31st January 2011.
15 >Waymade Alumni Association meeting was held on 22nd February 2011. The occasion was graced by the presence of Mr. Ramesh Bhakta and Prof. Rema Subhash, Head Department of Home Science, Sardar Patel University.
16 >Open Book Examination conducted on 22nd and 23rd February 2011.
17 >In an attempt to strengthen its bonds with the community in the vicinity and to help them in ways more than one our college, with the help of JCI, Anand chapter, distributed 25 mosquito nets among the members of community on 24th February 2011. The occasion was attended by Prin. S.M Patel, honorary secretary CVM, Er. V. M. Patel, honorary joint secretary CVM.
18 NAAC Peer Team visited the college on 3rd, 4th and 5th of March 2011.
19 >Dr Sulabha Natraj made a presentation on Women Empowerment: Redefining Positions. Representatives from various colleges of Sardar Patel University (total 200 participants) attended the event. The event was organized, on 8th March 2011, jointly by JCI, Rotary Club and Home Science College.
20 Dr. Sulabha Natraj was invited to deliver a talk at the Luvana Girl's Hostel, Vallabh Vidyanagar on International Women's Day (8th March 2011). The event was attended by 150 participants.
